“At My Farmhouse Door”

The Roses and Thorns of Life

There is always a story outside my front door…………..

“I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date…….Which way is Wonderland”

“Which way?????????????????????????” “Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear”

“Just ask Alice Groundhog,” said the Cheshire Cat.

And on his way, he went………….

“Breakfast with St. Francis”

The Roses and Thorns of Life

Sometimes,  a little corner just outside your door can be a soothing escape in a hectic world…….

It might be a wind chime……tinkling in the breeze…….it might be a blooming rose lifting her face to the sun……..or it might be St. Francis, perched amidst the ivy…..welcoming hungry little faces to his lap.

Find your chime, your rose…….your St. Francis……..it’s the little corners of brightness that lighten up a world that seems too dark, too much of the time nowadays……….

It saddens me to know I enjoyed the elephants and the fireworks, before I knew the truth.    What saddens me even more is knowing…

“A heart from a little mouse”

The Roses and Thorns of Life

It all depends on how you look at things……..

Now, most will see a chewed up toilet tissue roll………..

Me, I see a heart    ❤

I see a thank you for all his special cookie treats, a thank you for his morning songs, a thank you for saving his life when I watched other mice beating up on him in the pet store cage.

So, I see a heart.    I don’t need to see one; he has my heart anyway.   But seeing one gladdens mine……….

It all depends on how you look at things…….those things can change your day.

Sometimes a little mouse can make a big difference……..
